High-performance design

  • The design is silicon proven on TSMC 40LP.
  • The design is implemented in a QFN 88 pin package utilizing full logic gates and SRAM memory.
  • The design does not require any software or programming code as the KNN algorithm is implemented in the ASIC logic gates thus allowing for a very fast KNN learning and classification. 
  • Actual silicon testing shows that the design can quickly learn from 1024 samples of data with each data having a maximum of 1024 attributes allowing for 1Mbyte of learning data in merely 1.4ms, when running with 100 MHz clock.
  • For KNN applications that require smaller sample size or smaller attributes per sample, the AI KNN IP allows for specifying of sample size and attribute size thus allowing for faster learning and faster classification for smaller sample size systems
  • The AI ASIC IP is compact and can easily be integrated in any SOC design. It can be accessed through two interfaces, a high speed parallel bus or the SPI interface

AI KNN Shield, codename “Cerdik Shield”

The Cerdik Shield is built with our proprietary AI KNN chip. The Cerdik Shield comes with both SPI and USB2 connections. As a result, it can be connected to other boards like Raspberry Pi, Arduino, Jetson Nano and etc. The system can be easily used for developing applications or projects.

The IP can be easily optimized into FPGA. Data below shows the test with 1 MBytes of learning data : 1024 samples of 1024 attributes per sample.
